Congratulations to Michael Darby – a very keen dancer who attended the Camp AWEsome weekend for young dancers in Melbourne the weekend 3-4 February. Michael also entered a dance for the inaugural Camp AWEsome Dance Challenge – a strathspey called Suilean. It is a very elegant dance which encourages dancers to make the most of opportunities to share their joy of the dance (i.e. lots of eye contact required). A few of us were privileged to get a pre-competition look at the dance at the practice sessions prior to the Camp.
